Oranga is growing to meet the needs of current and future residents. Around 400 older social homes are being replaced with approximately 1,300 new homes, alongside upgrades to streets, parks and infrastructure.

Oranga is changing, with new homes, safer streets and better public spaces helping to create a neighbourhood that works well for current and future residents.
So far, 368 new homes have been completed across the development. This includes 233 new social homes and 135 homes built for the open market. More homes are planned as the neighbourhood continues to grow.
The work goes beyond housing. Planning is underway for new walking and cycling connections, upgrades to Fergusson Domain, improvements to key intersections, and new wastewater infrastructure to support future growth.
These improvements will help create a more connected neighbourhood, make it easier to get around, and support the people who call Oranga home.
